Most restaurants are closed 1 day of the week – make sure to check their website for updated schedules.
We highly recommend you take into account the weather when deciding what activity to do when. If winds are heavy on the eastern side of the island try exploring the Western beaches.
Saturday:
Arrival to North Eleuthera. Lunch at the Glass window bar and grill overlooking the glass window bridge.
Pick up groceries in Governors Harbour and head to Casuarina Bay.
Swim and relax at the property and explore the beaches.
Dinner at Tippy’s (Live music most Saturday nights, reservation recommended esp on weekends).
Sunday:
Go on a snorkeling trip or check out the Leon Levy plant preserve (guided tours available).
Lunch at Sky Beach Club (swim up bar, jacuzzi and live music most Sunday afternoons) or Fishbone in Savannah Sound.
Dinner at The Sunset Inn (casual local spot with great sunset views)
Monday:
Breakfast Da Perk Café in Governors Harbour.
Explore southern Eleuthera.
Explore Rock Sound Ocean Hole or Lighthouse Beach.
Have Lunch in Rock Sound at Frigates or Wild Orchid.
Check out the Island School and Cape Eleuthera institute or book a charter to the Schooner cays (closed Sundays), sandbar.
Afternoon relax at Casuarina bay – explore French Leave Beach (immediately south of Casuarina Bay about ¼ mile – you can walk the beach or beach road to get there).
Dinner at Rainbow Inn (Live music Mondays and pizza night Mon and Th, closed Sunday).
Tuesday:
Go shopping for groceries at Island Farm (delicious fresh breads (Tu and TH), local fruits, veggies, sauces etc).
Explore 10 bay beach, Paw Paw Bay or Coco di Mama Beach (all on Western side of Eleuthera and good for any day that it is too windy on the Eastern coast).
Lunch or dinner at 1648 Bar and Grille.
Afternoon: Kayak, paddleboard or canoe with the turtles at Edwin’s Marine Preserve or charter a sailboat for a sunset cruise.
Wednesday:
Kayak, Paddleboard, walk or drive to Twin Coves Beach (1/2 a mile north of Casuarina bay beach), snorkel there.
Picnic on the beach or in the beach cabana at Casuarina bay.
Dinner La Bougainvillea (live music and pizza night Thursdays).
Thursday:
Adventure options: SCUBA dive/snorkel, swim with the pigs, sand bar trip, fishing charter etc. (see page on Eleuthera adventures)
Dinner: Leo Rose (live music Thursdays, great sunset location, local hang out).
Friday:
Adventure options: Queen’s bath, Hatchet bay caves, Sapphire blue hole or relax on the beach with a good book and a cold beer.
Lunch: Buccaneer Club.
Evening/dinner:
Happy hour at Bacchus Fine Food (good brunches and dinners too and store with gourmet choices) or Anchor Bay Fish Fry (Fri only) in Governors Harbour (DJ, dancing in the streets, popular spot for tourists and locals of all ages, can be loud). Great for local cuisine and fresh conch salad.
